Altered Items with The Angel Company Paper & CANDY

Isn't it amazing how you can start with a simple wooden item, add some of your favorite paper and you end up with a wonderful gift? We exchange 3D gift items like these at our regional Angel gatherings. It is so exciting to see what people come up with that can be stamped on or covered with paper and magically transformed! I found this little box at the Target Dollar Spot and added TAC's Catelynne paper. I love how our Heidi Swapp florals, Bazzill Bitty Blossoms, Making Memories Velvet Brads and TAC's LillyAnna ribbons all match so beautifully with Catelynne!
The box went my friend Christine Chainey, who wasn't able to join us last weekend(we missed you!) but she was still able to participate in our gift exchange. (I hope you liked the box :). I sure had fun making it and was so tickled that you got it!)

I got this beautiful tag heart wall hanging from Barb Foster, who I met for the first time this weekend. Isn't it beautiful?! I LOVE IT! (Thank you, again, Barb! You are so talented!) The paper is TAC's Pop Rockz, which is still on special for a couple more days . . .

Meander/Maze Book with Tutorial

I'm just returning from a regional Angel Gathering in Kansas, where I demonstrated how to make this cute mini book. It's made with one piece of 12x12 that is cut and folded in a meandering pattern. It's a lot of fun!

Pop Rockz Skewer Book

I made this little book on Valentine's Day that has some of my favorite pictures of the ones I love from the past year. I've been learning some new ways to bind mini books (and you all know how much I love mini books!) This one is bound with a hair band and a wooden skewer. I can't wait to show it to the gals in Salina at this weekend's Angel Gathering!

Miss Moxie Mini Scrapbook

I had a great time sharing this cute book with Suelyn and her scrapbooking group on Friday night! The idea came from Kristina Werner's Blog. She gives some great instructions, so check them out! I love how the book uses one sheet of 12x12, a few scraps, some ribbon and staples! Of course, I had to add a Bazzill Bitty Blossom, too. (If you're loving this Miss Moxie paper, check out this post for another fun project I did with it, plus it has links to all the coordinated Miss Moxie items that you can pick up on my online shopping site.) Isn't this book fun? You should really try one!

I did another version of this book with pictures of our first family trip to Disney. It's a great size book to share those fun family moments!

Uptown Girl Love Notes

Wow! I managed to get Heather's card sketch done, and it's still Monday (just barely) in Colorado! I thought I would get in to the spirit with a little Uptown Girl, Bordeaux, Running Stitches, a GWP and Ordinary Greetings. (All stamps and supplies from The Angel Company.) As usual, I did the card away from the picture of the sketch, so the proportions are off a little, but it's the same idea. I love Heather's sketches. They look great and the sizes and pieces just seem to come out handy.

I also got to do a project inspired by my friend Joy. Check out her blog: Irish Angel Creations. I guess everyone on Split Coast Stampers has been doing this design too, but I copied it from Joy. :D Anyway, it's a heart envelope/card and it is so fun to make! She sent me instructions, so email her (or me) if you'd like them.

It's a wonder I'm getting any stamping done. My studio is still all torn up. I am making a little more progress though! Thanks for stopping by!

Get Well Goody

I still have a few stamping friends who haven't seen The Angel Company's new Inspiration Book and Catalogue, including my friend, Kim. She has an awful cold, but I thought this might just get her mind off it for a bit, so I made her a little goody bag with the catalogue and this little treat. It has spiced apple cider mix & a mini package of tissues inside. It's decorated in cheery Miss Moxie paper.

The to-go cups are from Target and they have minimal printing on them. I just cut a strip of cardstock with a little bit of a curve and used a large tag to cover where the ends meet. A little of the coordinating Miss Moxie ribbon gives it just the right finishing touch. The tissues have a some of the matching Miss Moxie Cardstock, paper and some ribbon too. (If you like these colors, there's matching Miss Moxie hardware and an awesome Rockin' Roxie Matchbook Kit that has the same vibrant color scheme. It makes creating a complete mini scrapbook so easy and fun!)

I think I'm going to stock up on these get well supplies. The goodies are simple to put together and everyone seems to be getting the sniffles lately! (BTW, if you're curious about my reorganizing project, things are still a HUGE mess, but I'm making a *little* progress . . . .)
